Humanitarian Service

ACCA- Provide financial assistance to the "Annandale Christian Community for Action"

Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department - Provide financial support for the purchase of equipment and operating expenses for local volunteer fire department.

Bailey’s Shelter - Provide volunteer help, food, toiletries, cold weather clothing, bedding linen, and personal care items and financial support for homeless men and women.

Bethany House -Provide financial support, food and clothing to battered spouses and children.

Clarendon House - Provide financial support to a rehabilitation program which provides vocational, social and educational opportunities for adults with severe mental illness.

Hope of Northern Virginia - Financial assistance for a pregnancy crisis center.

Literacy Project - Provide financial assistance to the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia to assist in the tutoring of persons unable to read and write and development of English as a second Language; with a cooperative effort provided to the Literacy Council's Book Sale effort.

Neighborhood Dinners/Food Delivery - Annual social/cultural outreach by providing a community dinner and Thanksgiving food delivery to area needy families.

Red Cross - Organize blood drives.

Rotary Foundation - Support of Rotary International efforts to provide aid to worldwide needy.

Bailey’s Helping Hands - Provide clothing and food to needy families.

Morning Star - Provide financial support to develop sewing and arts/craft skills for girls ages
9-15. Part of Hispanics Against Child Abuse and Neglect (HACAN).

Concern for Aging - Provide and deliver gifts to needy elderly during the Holiday season

Theatre Night in Support of Military -Provide reception and tickets to military personnel and their families

BXR Community Center – Assisting the immigrant community to become more productive Americans.

USO - Participate in assembling care packages for military personnel serving overseas

School Liaison and Youth

Fairfax County Police Youth Camp - Provide financial support to police-sponsored summer camp which promotes positive interaction between police officers and the troubled youth of Fairfax County.

INTERACT Club - Support and mentoring of J.E.B Stuart HS students involved in the Interact Club.

Mason District Little League - Provide financing and coaching to summer baseball program.

Scholarships - Provide four college scholarships to deserving, graduating high school seniors.

Outstanding Teacher Awards - Recognition of key teachers making significant contributions to student’s education and development at all school levels.

RYLA - Financial support for a student from J.E.B Stuart HS to participate in the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, recognizing achievements of young people consistent with the ideals and ethics of Rotary.

Stuart Booster Club - Support of J.E.B. Stuart HS Booster Club in support of high school activities.

Center for Peace Education - Support two students attending extended weekend seminars with national leaders studying international socio-economic/governmental/political events and their impacts.

Reading and Mentoring Program - Sponsor reading and mentoring for three elementary schools. Also provide scholarships for elementary school National Hands-on Science Program.

Speech and Essay Contest - Sponsor a speech and essay contest at high and middle schools respectively to promote the theme of Rotary.

Stuart Coalition - Provide financial support to Stuart Community Coalition for Safe and Drug Free Youth.

Environment and Safety

“Prom Promise” - Support high school prom promise initiative providing non-alcohol activities and students commitment to sobriety for graduating seniors at the Skyline All-Night Lock-Down Party.
Adopt-A-Highway Program - Cleaning a two-mile section along Route 7 in Bailey's Crossroads, VA.
