Beneficiaries of our Fundraising include...


Local Organizations

Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department - Provide financial support for the purchase of equipment and operating expenses for local volunteer fire department.
Bailey’s Crossroads Community Shelter - Provide volunteer help, food, toiletries, cold weather clothing, bedding linen, and personal care items and financial support for homeless men and women.
Bethany House - Provide financial support, food and clothing to battered spouses and children.
Clarendon House - Provide financial support to a rehabilitation program that provides vocational, social and educational opportunities for adults with severe mental illness.
USO - Participate in assembling packages for military personnel serving overseas
Hispanics Against Child Abuse and Neglect (HACAN) Morning Star Program - Provide financial support to develop sewing and arts/craft skills and improve literacy for girls ages 9-15. 

Youth Programs

Interact Club – Provide support and mentoring of J.E.B. Stuart High School students involved in the Rotary Interact Club.
Fairfax County Police Youth Camp - Provide financial support to police-sponsored summer camp that promotes positive interaction between police officers and the troubled youth of Fairfax County.
Scholarships - Provide college scholarships to deserving graduates from J.E.B Stuart High School.
RYLA – Provide scholarships for students from J.E.B. Stuart High School to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award camp, recognizing achievements of young people consistent with the ideals and ethics of Rotary.
Chesapeake Bay Conference – Provide scholarships for high schools students to attend the annual Chesapeake Bay Conference sponsored by the Gloucester Rotary Club. 
Lee District Football Program – Annually support the Lee District football program.
Ethics Day – Co-sponsor of the annual Ethics Day conference at J.E.B. Stuart High School for all seniors.

Literacy

Computer Assisted Learning Solutions (CALS) – Support implementation of this program at local middle and high school to enhance and improve reading of students.
Dictionary Project – Provide dictionaries to third graders in the local elementary schools. 
Speech, Essay and Music Contests - Sponsor Rotary District speech, essay and music contests at local high and schools and middle schools to promote the themes of Rotary, including Service Above Self.
Outstanding Educational Leadership Awards - Recognize teachers and other educational leaders who make significant contributions to the education and development of students at all levels.

Community Service

Adopt-A-Highway Program – Clean up a two-mile section along Route 7 in Bailey’s Crossroads.
Culmore Cleanup Project – As a sponsor organization, participate with other community organizations and the Stuart Interact Club in the annual Mason District cleanup project in the Culmore/Bailey’s Crossroads communities.
 Bailey’s Helping Hands – Donate clothing and food to needy families.
Neighborhood Dinners/Food Delivery – Conduct annual social/cultural outreach by providing Thanksgiving and spring food delivery to area needy families.
Concern for Aging – Deliver gifts to needy elderly persons during the Holiday season. 
Culmore Support on Suspension Program (SOS) – Support the program and mentors youth.
Theater Night for the Troops – Provide reception and tickets for military personnel and their families for local live theater events
Fairfax County Parks – Support outreach programs of parks, such as the Hidden Oaks Nature Center and Green Spring Gardens.


International Service

The Rotary Foundation – Support Rotary International to help the needy worldwide through projects related to health and hunger, water and sanitation, literacy, and reducing child mortality.
Domestic and International Disaster Relief through support efforts including Shelter Box program.
Eradication of Polio through financial support of the PolioPlus program.
